The boys sharing

Here they are sharing the chair in the morning to watch their new favorite show "Dragon Tales" They are getting so big they don't fit well side by side anymore so Jack came up with a new way to sit.

"Making lunch"

The boys pushed their chairs over to the sink and pretended to make me lunch. Yes, Drew pushed his own chair and climbed up all by himself. Now something he does on a daily basis to reach things on the counter. Ugh! They were very well behaved and were having fun.

The Dulles Air and Space Museum

It was a rainy day on Monday so Amy and I took the boys to the Air and Space Museum. They had a blast!

Some pics of the planes we saw. They were broken up into eras and wars.

Obligatory Air Force pictures

The boys liked all of the planes behind the cases. Jack kept asking if I could open it so he could play with them :)

I don't even know which shuttle this is but Jack liked it so much we ended up with a toy one for him from the gift shop. I got Drew one too so they wouldn't fight over it.

Jack wouldn't pose for the picture and is behind the barrier. I had to fish him out.

They have a mock Control Tower and they pipe in the actual talk between the pilots and the control tower from Dulles Airport. The planes go right over but it was cloudy so most were behind the clouds that day.

View of the entrace and the tower from the parking lot.

The flight sculpture represents the the jet stream of the planes.

As much as I hate moving every few years my life is pretty cool. I get to see so many things across the country:) Now I get to enjoy it with my boys.

The new Guest Room

Here is the new guest room furniture that finally arrived. Just in time for Amy's visit! I'd like to get some new bedding that goes better and pictures still need to be hung on the walls but I'm pleased with the way it looks considering I bought the furniture online without being able to see it in person first.

Night out in DC

I finally got a night out to myself away from the chaos of the boys in DC when my cousin Amy came for a visit. We stayed at the Mayflower Hotel which is only a few blocks from the White House. We walked there and took a few pics. There was one of me in front of the White House too but it was too blurry. Not a big fan of my cheap little camera. We then went to Mackies and sat on the patio and had drinks, dinner and fun conversation. I got to sleep in the next morning and not have to worry about anyone but myself :)

Walk around our neighborhood

We went for a long walk in our neighborhood last week. The geese on the pond recently had their babies. A lot of people feed them so they let you get pretty close. Jack was talking to the little babies.

Moxie is always on the lookout for squirrels and chipmunks.

This is Jack's favorite part of the walk. The trail goes through a tunnel under the main road.

This is the playground outside one of the three swimming pools that our neighborhood has.

This is the baby pool

Larger pool for everyone else.

Drew got a pinecone on the way home.

This bridge is the last picture that was taken because I dropped my already fragile camera on the bridge and it no longer works. :( I am in the process of finding a new one and just purchased a cheap one until I can find a good one.

Frying Pan Farm Park

Last Thursday my friend Heather and I took the kids to see the animals at Frying Pan Farm Park. They got to see all the
new babies and got a tractor-pulled wagon ride around the farm. These are the first pics with my interim camera. It took me a few pics to get used to it.

Drew loved the piglets
They were actually much happier about the wagon ride than this picture suggests.

Drew learned Riley's name and was saying it over and over again the entire ride.

Jack stuck his finger in the chicken cage and one of the chickens bit him. He came over to me and said, "Look Mommy, I've got a chicken bite." I guess he thought it was like a mosquito bite.

Bunnies

Drew liked "mooing" at the cow.

This peacock was gorgeous and drew quite a crowd.

Jack and Drew rode these mini tractors for almost a half an hour.
