Our first leg of the trip was from Monterey to LA. We were supposed to leave at noon and take HWY 1 all the way for the scenery. We ended up leaving at 3:30 pm instead and the first hour and a half was really pretty but then darkness fell and I have to say. It was a pretty scary drive. The boys were blissfully ignorant of the circumstances as they slept most of the way.

Sunset just past Big Sur

Our next leg was from LA to Phoenix. Jack loved looking at all of the windmills along the way. At night they all have red lights on them that blink in unison.

In Phoenix we stayed at one of the nicer Best Westerns. We went Best Western almost the entire way because they allow pets and don't charge an arm and a leg for them. The highlight of Jack's trip to El Paso was getting to swim with Daddy in the outdoor heated pool.

Drew got to watch from the sidelines. During the trip he turned into Linus, carrying his little blanket everywhere. The movers could take the rest of his stuff but not his blankie :)

Getting a little bit tired of being stuck in the pack n play. I blame whoever invented the tissue dispenser on the sink at toddler level. He would get 5 out before I could even take 2 steps toward him. Next time you visit a hotel, notice that pretty much everything is at toddler level. Very annoying for Mommy and Daddy.

Somewhere in Arizona.

We arrived safely in El Paso on Dec. 21st and spent two weeks. Fun was had by all :)

Moving Day

The boys handled the actual moving day pretty well. Jack just wanted to watch "the men" (which is what he called them) put the stuff onto the big truck. The day went smoothly until one of them broke our dining room table.

Drew making his way through all of the boxes

Camping out in the living room. The kids got to watch their shows on the computer in these chairs.

I love these pictures of them digging into these huge strawberries. They loved them as you can see. They got to sit on the patio and eat on their car trays. I had to get creative when feeding them because at this point we were in the house 2 days with zero furniture.

Drew the nurturer

Drew got a real kick out of feeding his brother his snack. Now he tries to feed everyone what he's eating.

Our last day at the beach.

This picture was taken by a nice Irish man that was strolling around Lover's Point in the middle of the day. Jack looks so small in this picture. I love it, because every day he looks bigger and bigger to me and it makes me a little sad.

Getting in the swan boat

Jack almost got swallowed by the ocean in this one. I thought I was going to have to drop Drew and go after him.

Will try to update

Check back for updates tomorrow. Will try to do tonight. HAve lots to post:)
