Fall Walk- 2010

Walking toward the Potomac

Making pumpkin seeds

I made three different flavors of pumkin seeds. The boys got to shake the seasoning onto them. After all the effort and taste tests I still firmly believe that pumpkin seeds weren't really meant to be eaten. They just don't taste very good. The boys agreed with me :)

Carving Pumpkins- 2010

The boys enjoyed getting their hands dirty cleaning out the pumpkin so that I could carve it. Jack chose the design.

Finished product!

Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Keep the Fear Alive

The metro stations were soooo backed up. We almost didn't get there, but when they kicked everyone off the metro to go and pick up people at the first stop we stayed on and got there.

The signs were my favorite. There are some very funny people in the DC area. http://www.funnyordie.com/articles/4e561641f4/the-funniest-signs-from-the-rally-to-restore-sanity-and-or-fear Here is a link to the 55 funniest signs. It's worth looking at :)

Truck or Treat Food Drive

The MOMS club put on a Trunk or Treat food drive. The kids got to dress in their costumes and see the Great Zucchini (children's magician). The price of admission was non-perishable food items. Then after the magic show they got to trick or treat in the parking lot. They had a lot of fun. The kids thought he was hilarious. Even Drew was belly laughing :)

Jack's friend Peter got to participate in a magic act.

Painting Pumpkins

The boys enjoyed painting their own pumkins and Drew of course loved the mess. Jack is a much neater child. Notice Drew mixed the paints right away and Jack liked to keep them separate.

Drew is always such a mess!

Jack insisted on painting the stem. Made it a little hard to carry outside without making a mess.

Fall fun

That pile really isn't big enough for that kind of jump :)
But it's still fun!

Drew sorting leaves

throwing leaves is fun!

Drew liked to shovel them

Jack got pretty good with the rake.

Cutie Pie

Drew worked up a sweat

I finally got rid of those roses with a little help from my dad and planted some fall flowers. It looks much nicer :)
