Mother's Day

I got to sleep in on Mother's Day until 10:30.

These are the flowers that Jack picked out for me. He liked the sunflower best :)

Playing with their hats at home

When we got home from the Truck Days we ate lunch and Drew spilled yogurt all over himself so I had to strip him down. He really likes running around with no clothes on and just a hat!

Jack got in on the act too. He asked me, "How did Drew get naked? Can I get naked too?" What is it with little boys and being naked?

Truck Days in Herndon

I decided to take the kids to Truck Days in Herndon. It's just a parking lot blocked off with a bunch of trucks in it and the kids get to pretend to drive them and climb all over them. The problem was that everyone else decided to go at the same time we did. There were long lines to get onto the trucks and many tears were shed by Jack who said, "Waiting my turn is no fun!" You are telling me. Drew wanted to get down and just run around so I let him at the end. They each got a plastic hard hat when they entered.
Drew is happily posing in some other kid's picture.

Drew was having a blast while Jack was basically having a meltdown. All of Jack's pics have teary eyes and snotty noses.

Checking out the recycling truck and then "driving it."

Jack liked to drive and Drew liked to play with all of the buttons so sharing wasn't a problem. :)

Mommy getting ready in the morning

Jack likes to watch cartoons in Mommy and Daddy's bed in the morning while I get ready. Sometimes I let Drew join him if he's going to sit still, but this morning like many mornings he ends up in the bathtub. He likes to stack my make-up on the side of the tub and I don't have to worry about him falling off the bed.

Yes, he got that bruise on his head three days before this picture by falling in the family room right onto the floorboards. He's seriously giving me gray hair!

Drew's new crib buddy

Drew has fallen in love with the stuffed animal that his Grandma and Grandpa Corley got him for Christmas. He gets mad when I take it out of the crib. I can lay him down on the other side of the crib and he creeps his way back to the side with the elephant using it as a pillow some nights and putting his arm around it other nights. He was just so cute that I had to take a picture.

Then being an equal opportunity Mom, I sneaked in and took a picture of Jack sleeping too :)

Drew was cheesing it up for the camera the other night. That's really what he is saying in all of these pictures, "Cheese!"

Jack and Drew love snack and show time. Right before bed they are allowed to have a light snack and some water. Sometimes they sit on the couch together while they watch. After this both go to bed with no hassles. However if you skip this step there is a big stink, not so much from Drew, but Jack does love his routine!
