Star and Sy's house

Our friends from Albuquerque, Sy and Star, moved to Springboro when Sy got transferred to Wright Patterson Air Force Base. We went over to their place for dinner on Aug. 7th. The kids had fun playing on the trampoline and roasting marshmallows and playing with the big kids.

Drew was stealing drinks while everyone else was on the trampoline.

Star passed out the biggest marshmallows I've ever seen. Drew didn't have any desire to roast his, they went straight into his mouth and all over the rest of him.

Jack like hanging out with their son Max. All the girl's are their daughter Zoe's friends.

Reptiles Alive!- Aug. 4th 2010

Three of us took our kids to see Reptiles Alive! at the Sterling Community Center. Jack is somewhere in the pack of kids with his friends. Drew decided to hang back near Mommy. They got to see lots of animals up close. My pictures aren't very good because my battery was dying so I couldn't use the flash.

Cheese!

Tarantula and Rattlesnake

Baby Alligator and Turtle

Show

The boys enjoy sitting in our new recliner together to watch their show before bed.

Workout

I DVR my workout every day. If two shows are taping at once it just comes on the TV. This day it came on and Jack ran to the hall closet to get my hand weights. He lasted about 5 min. before they got too heavy for him. :)

Testing his strength.

Reston Zoo-- July, 23 2010

We met my friend Michelle and her two girls at the Reston Zoo. Fun was had by all.

Jack and Drew enjoyed feeding the animals. Drew especially liked giving the babies a bottle.

A mom put some coins in the carousel and her kids chickened out so mine got a free ride :)

Feeding the fish in the Koi pond

Jack checking out the spider monkeys, then he and Drew decided to pose as one for me.

On the Rhino

Big scary alligator

Waiting in line for the hay ride

Drew collected a bunch of rocks and kept himself entertained while we waited.

Jack LOVED the ride.

This ostrich really liked me. I think he thought I had food.

Wildlife

Very friendly big horned thing:) I can't remember what it's called.

This buffalo was very friendly but the boys took a few steps back everytime it got close.

This deer's antler's were sooooo soft. The kids liked touching them.

All the kids. Yes, this is the best picture I got of them.

Cascades Pool

We went swimming with my friend Heather and her daughter Riley after storytime on Aug. 4th. Jack loves to hang out with Riley and her older brother Patrick :)

Drew with his community pool toy :)

Volcano Island

This pool/waterpark is about 5 min. from our house. The kids had a blast watching the big bucket dump about every 20 min. We all got caught under it at some point during the day.

They had a huge sandbox with running water features for the kids to play in.
The kids spent a lot of time on this kiddie slide.
