The big move-in

We decided to use the living room as a catch all for boxes and papers since we have no living room furniture. It has since become the "papers room." Jack's name for it. Every morning Jack and Drew go to play in the papers. As you can see, they started small but eventually took over.

Pulling up to the new house.

Jack had heard about this new house we were going to be living in for weeks. It took us three days to drive to El Paso for Christmas, we stayed 3 weeks there and then took a 5 day drive to Virginia. Jack was super excited about the new house and couldn't wait to get there. As we are driving in he was pretty convinced that every house was our new house. I felt badly because we got there 1/2 hour early and there was no one to let us in. Jack almost had a heart attack waiting.

One of the very cool things about going home for the holidays it that your kids get to see and experience things that you did as a kid. Nick used to play baseball on this field and over the holidays Jack got to run the bases with him.

At the end, Jack says, "Let's do it again!"

Fun at Grandma and Papa's

After Christmas this year we had an extended visit with Grandma and Papa Gregor. Nick and I enjoyed actually getting out to see our first movie together in two years. The kids enjoyed spending time with their grandparents. Jack especially liked hanging out with Grandpa. Grandpa took him to the store, out to lunch and to the race track to see the horses. Jack talked about that for a long time afterward. Drew enjoys any and all attention he can get so was in hog heaven with Grandma.

Drew loved to sit and rock with his Grandma. What a great way to drift off to sleep :)

Drew with Santa boots on. He loved to go into this hallway and shut the door and run his fingers over the vent. It made a really cool noise.

Nick's Birthday

We got together at the Harrison's for Nick's birthday. Jack spent the first part of the party in Grandma's lap not feeling very well, but then had a second wind and ended up playing with all the other kids.

Christmas 2009

Jack getting the cookies ready for Santa. Jack was in tears Christmas morning when he found out that Santa wasn't actually in the house. He thought that Santa coming meant that he was going to get to visit with him. Once we told him that Santa left a bunch of presents for him, he got over it pretty quickly. :)
