The kids love their trucks. Grandma and Papa added some new ones to the mix. This kept them very entertained. Drew is trying to perfect Jack's truck playing technique.

Jack's fat lip
Jack was rough housing with his Daddy in his bedroom and fell and hit his face on the edge of his wooden toddler bed. I was just relieved that no teeth were knocked out. There was a lot of blood but as you can see Jack was a trooper about it. He thought it was kind of cool and he got to suck on ice chips which he loves to do anyway.

Investigating Ants
Drew was very taken with the ants that were marching across our deck. He had to get up close and personal with them. Maybe an ant farm is in his future.
Drew the climber
The other day I was doing the dishes and was obviously not paying much attention to Drew. I was watching Jack and Nick in the backyard. I heard Drew shouting "Mama" behind me so I turned around and this is what I saw. The camera was on the counter right next to the sink and he was already standing in the middle of the table to I took some pics so Nick would believe me when I told him.

It's a commercial!
We were in the car the other day and Jack starts shouting, "Look Mom it's a commercial! " I was a little confused until finally he said, " Look Mom it's a commercial see it doesn't have a top!" He was pointing to the "convertible" in front of us. He can now say convertible. :)

Drew is 18 months old
Drew has spent his entire toddlerhood with a bruise on his forehead and at 18 months is still going strong. He can say more words than I can actually count, he is very good at walking down the stairs forward while holding onto the railing, he like to try to put on his own shoes, and loves to mimic his older brother. He is 28 lbs. 12 oz and 33 1/2 inches tall. All four of his molars have pushed througha and other than a bit more drooling, I had no idea he was even teething. His favorite response to a question is "No!" and when you ask him "Why not?" he says, "Cuz." If you take something away from him or bump into him he says, "Hey!" His new favorite words are "baby," "honey," "truck," "car," "Daddy," and "Mama." He likes to say "Hi" when he sees someone new and "Bye" when they leave. He loves running around the backyard and getting into anything that will cover him in dirt head to toe and drive his Mama crazy! He's started watching "Super Why" with Jack and saying his letters. He knows the colors blue and green and can say most others. He's a real character who is hardly ever upset about anything and just enjoys being a kid. What more could a mom ask for :)
Jack is 3 1/2
The boys are growing so fast. I can't believe Jack is already three and a half. He is 3 ft. 4 in. tall and weighs 42 pounds. He has a strong vocabulary and is easily able to take simple concepts and apply them to any situation. He is constantly making us laugh with the funny things that he says. If he would only stop the not so funny things such as, "NO" and "I'm not going to." He is now wearing 5T tops and 4T bottoms. He's always been bigger on top than bottom. Some funny Jack talk.
The storm clouds rolled in darkening the living room in the middle of the day. Jack turns to me and says, "Is it getting dark out so I can eat dinner?"
I was finishing the dishes and told Jack that it was naptime. He replied, "Maybe you can take a nap and I can do the dishes." Oh little boy, if that were only an option! :)
Jack always says, "Some day I'll get bigger and bigger and then I can play basketball with Daddy." He will love that.
I was lying down on the couch because I was feeling sick, Jack came over and said to me, "Mommy, I'm sorry you don't feel good" and put his head on my shoulder and patted my back. Then he said, "I think you should make me lunch." A mom isn't allowed to just be sick!
