The DiPietro's were the best! They helped us find a house and became our closest friends in Sterling, Va. They made this move much easier for everyone in the family! We were so sorry to see them leave to go to Nashville :(

We have some great friends in the Kendrick family. Teresa, Lex and Ty invited us to be their guest at Great Country Farms today. Their dad Marios is also in Afghanistan so the boys and us moms have bonded a lot this summer!

Jack started his second summer of swim lessons today. Last year he wouldn't put his head in the water and ended up dropping out of class. This year, he was the 1st to do everything! What a difference a year makes!

The alligators were a huge hit. They even got to watch the guy feed them. However, when we were in there, there was a little boy with his dad and Jack said to me, "That boy's Dad didn't have to go anywhere." Clearly he misses his dad who is in Afghanistan :(

I got this on Craigslist and the boys love it. They haven't stopped playing with it or thanking me for getting it for them. I have to say it keeps them occupied for a while. Drew plays with it off and on all day!

Dinosaur park in Ashburn- it's right down the street from where we went to that Fire Station Open House and rode the truck.

So, Super Mommy figured out how to do the basketball hoop all by herself :)

Drew can't make it in the taller one yet, so he gets really frustrated.

Sat. June 11, 2011- Jack's last soccer game of the season

Wow, I really wish you could have seen Jack play this season. Totally different kid from last season.

Drew got to watch this game. It was only a half an hour game, no practice and then awards. They actually got little trophies this year :) And then he broke it the second we got home.

After this we pretty much went straight to Lex's Party at Briar Patch Park. It was really hot and buggy but the kids had a lot of fun. Drew took a three hour nap. We played some BBall out front and then I tried to put together the new hoop in the backyard but realized I put the pole on backwards. So now I have to take it apart and do it the correct way. Nothing is ever easy!!!!

They had so much fun. Drew took a good nap. Jack watched the Incredibles while I took a nap on the couch. I was so tired I slept through the entire 2nd half of the movie. We are going to Parkway pool in the morning with some new Mom's Club friends. :)

Is it weird that I have zero recollection of what we did on Mon? I guess we just cleaned house since Cameron was coming to babysit. I went to the Mom's Club Banquet which was very nice. I got a Sunflower and a Rose for being a new board member. The kids loved the flowers. Tues. the patio furniture arrived in the morning. Then we went to Algonkian Park for Jack's preschool class play day. Then we came home and I spent about 2 hrs. taking the furniture out of boxes and assembling. The basketball hoop that I ordered for Jack arrived yesterday too, but it had to wait. A good project for Fri. since we have nothing planned. After Drew's failure to nap, we went to Home Depot to find a hose splitter so I could hook two up in the backyard for the party. They were great there and then we went to the grocery store. I told them if they behaved, they could have ice cream for dessert. We didn't even get out of the fruit and vegetable section before I had to break up a fight and separate them. So embarrassing! I then stayed up preparing for Wed. party. Here is the final product on the deck!

I actually almost finished the downstairs today. It was a bad day for me to be motivated to clean. I started my period and just felt yucky and my back hurt a lot, not to mention my foot that's gettting worse and worse. Here are pics of the living and dining room. Will send more tomorrow as all the crap disappears!

Ahh, naked boy. Does great pottying when he looks like this. But put a pull-up on him and he just pees in it :(

The boys have been wanting to play together in one of their rooms before bed at night. I allow ten minutes and then they have to say goodnight. Been working well so far.

Poor Drew was soo sick this day. He had a fever and just looked awful. I gave him some tylenol and ibuprophen and the fever went away. He was feeling better by Mon. night. He was having a blast walking around in Jack's soccer cleats. :)Future soccer star!

I didn't take any pictures this weekend. Fri, I got to go out. Saw Something Borrowed. It was OK. Then we went out for a drink afterwards. Got home at 11:20 pm and the kids were sound asleep in bed. So great the Cameron can put them to bed now. Sat. morning Jack had a soccer game. He did well because we were killing the poor other team. He scored 5 goals. Sat. afternoon we had a Star Wars marathon. We watched the 1st two. Pretty uneventful day. Then we had another game at 12:30 on Sun. In the afternoon while Drew was sleeping I took Jack outside so that I could mow the lawn. The neighbor kids invited him to play with them. He had a blast playing hide and seek and tag for two whole hours.

Thurs. May 12th- the kids' first carnival!

We ended the day by getting all the boys things into their new closets and drawers. A bigger job than I originally thought! But now they are all settled in and are loving their new rooms. I also got to pick out a new LED big screen TV today :)
