Halloween Party- 2010

Snack time

I threw a Halloween party for Jack and Drew and friends. All came in costumes and we decorated pumpkins, played pin the nose on the pumpkin, hit a pinata and ate yummy snacks. Drew was dressed as Buzz Lightyear and Jack was Sheriff Woody from Toy Story (their favorite movie of the summer). Why is it so hard to get all the kids to look at the camera at once?

Skeleton cookies

Carmel apples and witches brooms

Party was a success!!!!

Great Falls Playground

After going to Great Falls Park we took the kids to the playground down the street. They had a lot of fun on the merry-go-round. You don't see many of these anymore, the kids loved it!

Yes, Drew can climb all the way to the top by himself. He gets mad at me when I try to help.

Great Falls Park-October 22, 2010

We went to Great Falls Park with my parents. The kids enjoyed climbing the rocks to get a view of the falls. They had walkout views too but this was the kids' favorite spot.

I get this face from Drew a lot. He's trouble!

Jack posing for me like a good little boy. Drew is a lot harder to nail down.

High water marks.

Potomac Falls High School Homecoming Parade Oct. 21st, 2010

The boys got all ready for their first parade. Our neighbor was one of the Homecoming princesses.

Jack thought he was soooo silly in two hats!

Classic Jack with his ears plugged because the siren was too loud.

Marching band

Everyone was throwing candy. Mom wasn't prepared so Jack was collecting it all in his hat.

Layngs Farm- October 19th, 2010

Jack's preschool class took a field trip to Layng's farm. I love that they include siblings as well. Drew and Jack had a blast. They had a huge sandbox, hill slides, bouncy houses and we all got to go for a hayride.

Jack had no interest in painting a pumpkin so Drew and I did it on our own while Jack played in the sand and slid down the hills

Tunnel slides are always a hit

We were the last people to leave because of the bouncy house with balls. I couldn't get them out of it!

Ashburn Pumpkin Patch- Oct. 16th 2010

I took the boys for a Mom's Day out to a pumpkin patch with a bunch of bouncy houses. Jack was very excited to see that Spiderman was one of them! They had a blast jumping around and then we picked out pumpkins and headed over to Dairy Queen for some slushies!

Notice Drew's right foot. He managed to step in the only puddle there. (on purpose of course)

Nice cool refreshing drinks! They worked up a sweat jumping around.
