Storytime at the library. Jack's favorite!

Going to storytime at the library!

Drew, flirted with this little kitten all night.

Jack got to play the part of the witch during storytime.

Drew got caught under the table eating the pieces for craft time.

Jack made a pumpkin on a stick!

Carving Pumpkins

The kids helped prepare the pumpkins for carving by taking all of the guts out. Jack enjoyed it for a while but then told me it was too sticky.

Drew got into it and managed to keep most of it out of his mouth. Those pumpkin seeds were pretty irresistible though.

I seriously think that my child is the happiest on the planet. Life is just one big bowl of fun.

They decided that they would rather play with the truck books instead.

Fire Station Open House 10/24/09

We attended the Fire Station Open House in Monterey. Jack got to pretend to drive a fire truck and police car. He got a goody bag with a fire helmet, stickers, pens, pencils and candy. Jack with his friend David.

They had Jack's favorite. Cake!

Driving the police car

Driving one of the firetrucks

He was very excited about everything.

Building a fire station piggy bank.

Finished project!!!!!!

Snack time

Drew had started to get very jealous of Jack during snack time so I've now included him in the deal. He gets a drink and snack in the afternoon with Jack. Now if I could only get Jack to want his own snack!

Drew's a climber

Drew is a handful these days. He's really into climbing the stairs, climbing out the doggie door, traveling around the backyard and the entire house. I left the room for a minute to do the dishes and when I came back Drew had climbed (all by himself) up onto the couch to play with the pumpkins.

He was quite proud of himself. Drew now has 7 teeth. Three on top and four on the bottom. He knows and can do the baby sign for "milk". Jack had no interest in baby sign and refused to do it, but Drew seems more willing. When you say, "Who's number one?" he holds his index finger high into the air. He babbles all the time and is really loud. So loud that Jack has been overheard telling him to use his inside voice. He's walking about 9-10 steps at a time now and can get anywhere he needs to go.

Warmer Days

We had a few warm days in a row so the first day I got out the sprinkler for Jack, luckily Drew had no interest. The second day the pool made an appearance.

Diving right in!!!!! This kid has no fear, which really scares ME.
Jack loves to jump and splash

The Cozy Coupe Firetruck

Jack likes to pretend that he is actually driving somewhere now. He tells me that he is either going to work, school or to McDonalds to get chickens and fries.

Drew likes to sit in it and run the siren. Giving his famous #1 sign.

Swank Farms Pumpkin Patch

Fall 2009
The family made the trip to Hollister to visit Swank Farms. The biggest Pumpkin Patch in Central California. There was much to do there and Jack had a good time playing in a corn filled sandbox, going through the Spookely maze, riding tractors, fishing for goats, jumping on the trampoline, riding in a wheelbarrow and looking at all of the pumpkins!

It is extremely difficult to get the boys to sit still for a picture these days. Jack most of the time refuses to even look at the camera. Here is the best pic of him in the Pumpkin Patch.
Drew was way more interested in this rock than any of the pumpkins.
Sad that I took his rock away.
Riding a tractor, still refusing to look at the camera.
Playing in the corn box.
Walking through the Spookely Maze. You had to find numbered pages and each page was part of the children's story about Spookely the Pumpkin.
Reading Page 2
Nick, Drew and Dad trying to catch a glimpse of us in the maze.
